I get countless emails and guest book entries regarding the music used in the Flash Gordon series. When I first started the site I had most of the music bites, but had no idea of their titles or origin. Richard Bush (a very good friend to this site) is the person responsible for the music cues below. He has extensively researched this music and contributed a chapter to the book Film Music 1, in 1989. Although this book is no longer in print it is still available in many libraries. The liner notes for the Silva America CD of the complete score of Franz Waxman's Bride of Frankenstein were also supplied by Richard Bush. Many thanks to Richard for his contributions. You may read an article of his published by the Miklos Rozsa Society.

The music for the Flash Gordon serials was primarily stock music from other films, with the exception of the main title to the first serial, they were virtually all originally composed for earlier Universal films.

Music cue listings and composers for a chapter from each serial.
